Hershey’s chocolate syrup candle

Hmm. If a “tantalizing candle smells so much like the real thing,” which in this case means delicious chocolate, isn’t a bit irresponsible and cruel to have the words “Genuine Chocolate Flavor” printed several times larger than the it’s-not-edible “candle” description below it?

I don’t know about you, but if I follow the scent of warm chocolate that’s been wafting through the house for 65-70 hours (approximate burn time) and see a can of Hershey’s syrup bragging about its scrumptious genuine chocolate flavor, I’m not gonna read the rest of the label. A throat coated with melted candle wax be damned: I’m drinking it.

Available from The Lighter Side beginning January 25 for $11.
